Chimera Poetry

Cover it up cover it up
wrap it and package it and tape its muzzle shut
bury it in the dark
bury it deep and hidden
and most of all
bury it in silence
nobody wants to explain the unexplainable
to rock a boat that’s so beautifully painted and correctly
presented
they want no dark ink splatters in the corner of the family photo
bury it in silence
it will be OK
it will be OK
